You can prevent your dog from jumping on people by having them on leash in the house and teaching them to sit and stay. When someone comes into your home they should make eye contact with you first and avoid talking to your dog. The visitor can then greet your dog so long as your dog remains in the sit stay. If your dog gets up you should place them back in the sit position and try your greeting again.

You will need to practice this routine daily until your dog consistently responds to your command.
